Hotel Kuronjyo ホテル九龍城
A 0-Star hotel. Better than sleeping on the street.

NOT place I would stay in again
"The staff tried hard to make best of a bad situation"
"The hotel was rundown and dirty, we had to move rooms and they offered a reduction to compensate. The staff seemed genuine and helpful but oblivious to decay of hotel. Boiler bust but was fixed within a day. This is a one day last resort stopover hotel. However the location was good for local services and sights - cheap coffee shops, food parlors and supermarkets.. Unfortunately and we had to use Google translate for staff. Our bad."

Horrible
"Very dirty n there are insects + cockroach everywhere. Don't stay there. It was the worst experience of my life. For the same money, toyoko inn or super hotel are 1000% better.."

Questionable
"Quite a questionable hotel. I arrived on a Saturday and couldn't get in the front door until someone came out. Apparently it's locked on weekends. The front area was dark and a curtain was drawn over the counter. I had to yell for someone and a woman came out to help me. She was nice but the whole situation was strange. Room was so-so, had a strange Chinese-ish smell to it. It's near a main train line which was good but I wouldn't stay here again."

Straight from a gangster movie
"We had to ring a number on the front door to get a waitress from a nearby restaurant to come. She didn't speak Japanese or English. The two men who gave us our keys didn't know where anything was. They were not front desk clerks for sure. The room smelled bad and the beds were boxsprings-no mattress. This was a cheap hotel!
Consejos de viajes: If you like living on the wild side and want a cheap hotel, this is it."

Stay away, stay away!
"Ok, I've stayed in bombs but this was the worst, granted I was aware it was a "business" hotel which means typically for business men who need a one night place to sleep and then leave. I'm just going to go down the list of cons: nasty stained floor, unwashed sheets and bedspread, odd smell (get an air freshener), limp pillows, hard beds, no front desk persons, no shower curtain, no wifi... Ok the last one was a frill but they need some pluses here and that would be a good one. Pros: a/c, tv, decent location very close to shopping, food, and across the street from the subway station. I would never stay here again but if you need a place in a pinch they are cheap. The boy who helped us when we got there (after standing around for 10 minutes in the dark lobby) was super nice and friendly but we never saw him again. The only other employee we saw was the maid, she came around 6:30 pm every night."
"Spend the extra dough for a decent place, PLEASE!"
